It seems that women are prone to be plagued by cellulite than men. Or it is just that women complain about cellulite more. You are a lucky woman if you don’t have to even think of ways to reduce cellulite or perhaps you don’t even know what cellulite is.

So, what is cellulite?

Cellulite is the term that describes fat deposits that create bumps or dimples under the skin. These fatty deposits give the skin an unsightly orange-peel look, and are most commonly found in the buttocks, thighs, hips and underarm areas to name a few.

Studies have shown that more than 90 per cent of women over age 30 have some form of cellulite in some part in their body. Cellulite should never be related with women who are obese or fat. Even the thinnest women celebrities like Mischa Barton and Kate Moss can have cellulite. In reality, there are a lot of people who are not fat but they have cellulite.

It’s true that cellulite is not a serious medical condition. But it’s fatal enough to cause embarrassment and make you self conscious while wearing skimpy swimsuit at the beach.

There are a number of cellulite removal ways and doing exercises is one of the effective cellulite reduction treatment options.

Doing exercises can reduce cellulite because exercises help you burn away the excess fat stored in those small fat pockets, while also firming and toning the cellulite affected areas.

While doing cardiovascular exercises, it’s important that you perform small amounts of anaerobic exercises to specifically target the cellulite problem areas. This is where a lot of people go wrong.

Cardiovascular exercises such as speed walking, jogging or swimming will help you burn calories and get your metabolism going while anaerobic muscle workouts will help you tone and reduce the appearance of cellulite on the main cellulite problem areas such as your thighs, hips, and buttocks.

To start to see results all you need is three 30 minute sessions per week, obviously more will reap faster results. If possible, perform exercises at low intensity and for longer sessions or at high intensity and for short sessions depending upon your capacity.

The effective exercise to fight cellulite on your thighs is doing lunges. Remember to note that you should perform the exercise accurately to avoid injury. When you are performing a lunge, you should always remain in control and never let your knee to extend pass your toe. Also, you always want to keep your thigh at a ninety degree angle.

Don’t be embarrassed and hide your cellulite, start reducing your cellulite with cellulite exercises!

Any woman can have cellulite. Believe it or not, about ninety percent of all women are inflicted with cellulite.

Yes, even super skinny models like Kate Moss or sexy movie stars like Mischa Barton, Pamela Anderson and Sharon Stones suffer from embarrassing ripples and dimples on their bodies.

Cellulite happens to both overweight and underweight women. Women who don’t have an ounce of extra weight on them are of no exception too. Cellulite is believed, by many professionals, to be caused by a failure of your body to eliminate the waste products you generate naturally.

To check if you have cellulite, simply pinch the skin around your buttocks or upper thighs. If you see lumps or an uneven surface, you probably have some cellulite.

The fact is You Cannot Totally Remove Cellulite. It is important for you to know that you cannot totally get rid of cellulite despite the hype and marketing of various anti-cellulite treatment options.

There are simply no permanent cures, creams, serums, medicines, treatments, or even miracles to get rid of cellulite.

But the good news is that You Can Reduce Your Cellulite.

Reducing cellulite is a personal decision. Leave it if you can go on with your life without being bothered by it. But if the ugly dimply cellulite spots get worse and start affecting your confidence and self-esteem, you owe it to yourself to reduce your cellulite condition.

If invasive procedures such as Mesotherapy and Liposuction are out of the question for you, you can resort to reducing cellulite naturally and inexpensively.

1. Drink More Water. It is recommended that you drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. Water helps remove the toxins that build up in the skin tissues, expanding the fat cells causing cellulite.

2. Eat a Healthy Diet. Make small changes by avoiding processed and refined foods that contain excess salt, sugar or fat. This means no more take away foods or deep fried foods. Simple changes like eating more fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans and legumes can have surprising results to say the least.

3. Do Exercise Regularly. To reduce body cellulite is to reduce fat in your body. Exercise can help you increase blood circulation, burn your fat and eliminate toxins from your body.

4. Have Massage Therapy. Massaging increases the supply of blood to the affected parts of your skin and break down the cellulite fats. Once the fat-tissues and harmful toxic substances start getting dissolved, they are drained into the lymphatic system of the body.

There are no easy cellulite treatments in making cellulite disappear. It takes focus and true dedication to see satisfying results.

Each time I look into some magazines and see pictures of stars showing off their dimpled thighs and legs, I feel better knowing that female celebrities like Mischa Barton, Britney Spears, Cindy Crawford, Paris Hilton, Maria Sharapova, Christina Aguilera and Pamela Anderson are also victims of cellulite.

Women are the frequent victims of cellulite. Cellulite is nothing but fat cells trapped by fibers that have formed into a network. These fibers are constantly cleansed by body fluids and poor circulation retards this cleansing process. Waste materials accumulate; they slowly thicken and become hard pockets of immovable fat.

Although celebrities suffer from cellulite, they have money to get the best treatment for cellulite. They can afford the best dietitian and personal trainer, and the most expensive anti cellulite cream and surgery.

So, what can ordinary women like you and I who are not celebrities do to get rid of cellulite ?

There is no quick fix for cellulite. But there are ways to reduce the the appearance of visible cellulite.

1. Exercise on a Regular Basis. Doing cardio for at least 40-60 minutes a day will help to reduce your overall body fat and lessen the appearance of cellulite. Skin becomes smoother and tighter all over with regular exercise, but it may take time depending on the elasticity of your skin and how much weight you have lost.

2. Lose Weight. Women’s bodies store excess fat on the thighs and legs. Losing weight will naturally eliminate your cellulite.

3. Eat Healthy Diet. Your diet must have balanced nutrients, based on fruits and vegetables to help your body to rid itself of accumulated toxins. Cut out excess carbohydrates, fatty foods and takeaways.

Foods and drinks that should be avoided include meat, fish, coffee and soft drinks. Avoid sugar and salt as much as possible. If you need flavor, there are herb blends that can be substituted for salt.

4. Drink Plenty of Water. Water helps to assure that your body’s cells are hydrated and functioning properly. It strengthens them and helps fight off the fat cells that form cellulite.

5. Try Anti Cellulite Massage. Massaging increases the supply of blood to the affected parts of your skin and break down the cellulite fats. Once the fat-tissues and harmful toxic substances start getting dissolved, they are drained into the lymphatic system of the body.

However, cellulite and stretch marks, enemies of all womankind, don’t bother Reese Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock. Reese Witherspoon and Sandra Bullock accept having celebrity cellulite and stretch marks.

Bullock says, “We all have cellulite. So do supermodels! I’ve been to the shows, and I go, ‘Stick figure has some cellulite!’ It’s nature. Without it, you’re not human.”

We feel bad for the celebrities who had to be exposed, but hope that there is some good in giving women the feeling of normalcy about having cellulite. All of us get it and stars, athletes, and models are not spared.

Cellulite-plagued young celebrity Mischa Barton’s recent photos revealing her very dimpled thighs or visible signs of cellulite in her skimpy bikini bottoms were said to be photoshopped. The 22-year-old Mischa Barton was given the bottom of an 80-year-old.

I am not concerned if cellulite-plagued Mischa Barton’s recent topless photos were doctored with cellulite on her thighs or not. What impressed me was her self-confidence towards herself.

I get a womanly body. But otherwise if I’m being really skinny and eating less and working out more, I get more of a boyish figure. But I like my curves. I like having them. My boyfriend loves them! So whatever works!

I’m not self conscious about my body. I eat really healthily and I work out. Everybody has things that they are conscious of that they don’t like but, like any girl, I talk about this with my girlfriends all the time.

We work out and we eat healthy and we do what we do, I feel very comfortable. I come from a European family that’s always very comfortable with their bodies. You are what you are as a woman.

Though I am troubled by my cellulite problem, I am not so self conscious about it. If I really want to get rid of cellulite, there are so many cellulite treatments out there: cellulite creams, cellulite therapies, cellulite reduction plans, detoxifying diet programs, to name a few.

Like most hot mama celebrities and working moms out there, I am also plagued with cellulite problem. At first, I thought cellulite problems only happen to ordinary women like you and me. Never had I thought that celebrities like Mischa Barton, Jennifer Love Hewitt and hot mama celebrities like Cindy Crawford, Britney Spears are also victims of cellulite.

Despite being one of the slimmest superstars in recent years, Mischa Barton is no stranger to close-ups of her cellulite.

She appears to be fighting a losing battle with the dreaded cellulite after she was shot revealing her very dimpled thighs in her skimpy bikini bottoms.

I am as frustrated as Mischa Barton because I can’t wear short skirts now. There’s a couple of cellulite lines peaking through.

Women are the frequent victims of cellulite problems. The problem can start when you are as young as 14 years old and as you mature, the affected areas become larger. If you are on birth control pills or have just given birth, you are also more susceptible.

There are many ways to combat cellulite problems but in my opinion, the most effective cellulite treatment should be safe, inexpensive and easy on the body.

Some prefer cellulite creams because cellulite creams are proven to be effective in preventing the appearance of cellulite. However, they cannot completely eradicate the cellulite. These creams that contain alpha-hydroxyl acids do not actually remove the cellulite but rather improve the elasticity of the skin, thus making the cellulite less obvious.

Of course, there are those who opt for exercise. Without a doubt, exercise is still the best way to fight the cellulite. Exercise is particularly effective because circulation can help reduce the appearance of the cellulite.

Detoxifying diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grain foods is also greatly recommended. They can help in the elimination of toxins from the body. Cutting down on fats content in your daily diet is a smart way to make your cellulite go off. Full dairy and carbohydrates-rich food has the knack of causing excess fats in your body as these are starchy foods which can store more calories than other normal food.

No matter what cellulite solution you opt for, make sure that it is a safe and easy to follow cellulite reduction plan, program or treatment.
